Here’s the background for character dialog that takes place in my in-development project, Maxwell and the Jewel of Decidement. This was produced in Painter after an initial sketch.

Here’s the final version of that painting I was working on the other day. I’ve started working on the second one, but it’s a bit more time consuming due to this idea I have about tiny little outlined chiclet-particles that I’m using to cover some large portion of the area.
